Is there a STP (Systematic Transfer Plan) available to invest in Stallion PMS?

Yes, Stallion does offer the STP option for investing in its portfolio. Please refer to the FAQs below for answers to all your questions regarding STP.

Systematic Transfer Plan (STP) is an automated mechanism for transferring money from one fund to another. Typically, it involves moving funds from a liquid fund into an equity fund, allowing clients to stagger their investment in scheduled tranches over a defined period.

For example, if you wish to invest ₹50 lakhs:

  • The entire ₹50 lakhs is first transferred into the Stallion Asset Liquid Fund bank account.
  • From this, ₹10 lakhs (20%) is immediately deployed into the Stallion PMS Core Fund (Equity).
  • The remaining ₹40 lakhs (80%) stays in the Liquid Fund and is transferred into the Core Fund in four equal tranches of ₹10 lakhs each, around the 10th of every month, over the next four months.
  • In this manner, the full investment is systematically deployed into the Core Fund over five equal instalments of ₹10 lakhs each, ensuring disciplined and phased allocation.

  • STP is executed in five equal instalments, each comprising 20% of the total capital.
  • The first 20% is deployed immediately into the Core Fund.
  • The remaining 80% is deployed in four equal tranches of 20% each, on or around the 10th of every month over the next four months.
  • This is the standard and only schedule permitted for STP investments at Stallion.

Stallion does not levy any additional management fees for STP. Statutory and operational expenses—including FA fees, custody charges, stamp duty, and audit fees—will be borne by the client as applicable. For amounts deployed into the Core Fund, the standard PMS fees, as outlined in the agreement, shall continue to apply.

No, Client cannot do top up in existing PMS account using STP mode.

No. Funding a PMS account via STP must be done through a bank transfer of money.

Yes. Clients will receive online access to the Liquid Fund strategy.

Yes, clients may add more funds directly into the Core Fund while STP is active. However, this will be treated as a normal top-up in the Equity Portfolio (not part of the STP)

Yes. A client may stop the STP midway and have the remaining balance in the Liquid Fund transferred to the Equity Portfolio. To cancel an existing STP, a request must be submitted at least 7 business days prior to the next scheduled STP date. Cancellation of the STP will be treated as an instruction to transfer the entire balance currently held in the Liquid Fund to equity. Such requests will be processed within T+7 business days.

What is (SIP) Systematic Investment Plan?

A Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) is an investment method that enables investors to allocate smaller amounts at regular intervals. In PMS, an existing client (with a minimum AUM of ₹50 lakhs in their account) can top up the portfolio on a pre-defined schedule at regular intervals.

An SIP can be started with a minimum amount of ₹2 lakhs, in increments of ₹1 lakh. For example, a client may set up an SIP of ₹2 lakhs, ₹3 lakhs, and so on.

Clients can choose either a Monthly SIP or a Quarterly SIP. The debit date is fixed on the 5th of the month/quarter for all clients. At present, there is no flexibility to select a different date or frequency. If the 5th falls on a non-business day, the debit will be executed on the next working day.

  • The client’s portfolio balance must be a minimum of ₹50 lakhs.
  • The SIP must be initiated from the bank account registered with the PMS.

NRIs are not permitted to invest through the SIP mode.

There is no set up cost for SIP. Your bank might charge mandate registration cost. You will need to check with your bank to know the exact amount.

There are no setup charges for SIP. However, your bank may levy a fee for mandate registration. Please check with your bank for the exact applicable charges.

Yes. You can request cancellation by writing to operations@stallionasset.com before the 30th of the month, and the SIP will be discontinued from the following month. Same-month cancellations are difficult to process, so we advise providing notice well in advance.
